Who Operates AloeThere
AloeThere Inc. is operated as a business unit and DBA of SadTech Industries Inc., a fintech company. References to AloeThere, we, us, or our include SadTech Industries Inc. where it operates, hosts, secures, supports, analyzes, or administers AloeThere services.
Where This Policy Applies
This policy applies to aloethereinc.com, the AloeThere store and support services, and the AloeThere Plant Health mobile app for iOS and Android.
Plant health information in the app is about plants. AloeThere does not use the app to collect or analyze human medical or health information.
Information You Provide
Depending on the AloeThere service you use, we may collect account details, contact information, shipping addresses, order history, support messages, feedback, plant journal entries, plant names and growing details, uploaded plant images, saved carts, saved plants, and rewards activity.
Account features are not available in the iOS version of AloeThere Plant Health. The iOS app does not require an AloeThere account to scan plants, save local history, or make an in-app purchase. Account features may be available on other AloeThere platforms.
Plant Health App Data
The Plant Health app collects plant photos, scan type, scan results, saved plant and care history, reminders, app feedback, and related details you choose to enter so it can identify plants, assess plant health, and provide care guidance.
The app also collects an anonymous app or device identifier, app version and build, operating system and device model, language, country, time zone, sessions, screens viewed, feature interactions, purchase events, and diagnostic events. These details support app functionality, usage limits, security, analytics, troubleshooting, and install attribution.
If you enable weather-aware care, the app requests foreground location permission and may collect precise or approximate coordinates, location accuracy, city or region information, time zone, and the time the location was captured. This information is used to provide local weather context for plant reports and reminders. Weather-aware care is optional and can be turned off.
If you enable notifications, the app may collect a push notification token and notification preferences to deliver reminders and service messages.
Plant Photos and Analysis
Plant photos and related scan context are sent through AloeThere systems to plant-analysis providers, including Plant.id by Kindwise, to produce identification and health results. Images and results may be retained so reports can be delivered, restored, reviewed for support, and protected from abuse.
Do not include people, documents, addresses, or other personal information in plant photos. Authorized administrators may review app uploads when needed for support, safety, abuse prevention, or legal compliance. Administrative access to app uploads is logged.
Analytics and Advertising Attribution
AloeThere records first-party analytics events to understand website and app reliability, page and screen views, scans, report access, purchases, subscriptions, and feature use. Website analytics use a browser identifier and session identifier. On educational articles, they may also record active reading time, scroll progress, completion, broad referral and campaign fields, and link categories. External article links are recorded by destination domain rather than their full address or query details.
The mobile app also uses Microsoft Clarity for interaction analytics and diagnostics, including app screens, taps, sessions, and technical events.
AppsFlyer is used for install attribution and advertising measurement. On iOS, AppsFlyer partner tracking and its device identifier are enabled only if you authorize tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Declining tracking does not block plant scans, purchases, or other core app features.
AloeThere may use third-party advertising services, including Google AdSense, on educational website pages. These services may use cookies or similar technologies to provide, measure, and improve advertising. Website ads are not part of app checkout, payment, or other transactional flows.
Purchases and Subscriptions
Mobile purchases are processed by Apple or Google and managed with RevenueCat. AloeThere may receive the product purchased, price and currency, subscription status, trial status, store, transaction references, and purchase timestamps. AloeThere does not receive or store your full payment card number for mobile purchases. Website payments are handled by providers such as Stripe and PayPal.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide plant identification and health reports, personalize care guidance, save reports and plant history, apply usage limits and premium access, process and restore purchases, provide reminders and support, fulfill store orders, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain security, measure advertising, diagnose problems, and improve AloeThere services.
Sharing and Service Providers
We disclose information to service providers that help operate AloeThere, including Plant.id by Kindwise, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, AppsFlyer, Microsoft Clarity, payment processors, email providers, shipping tools, weather services, fraud prevention services, hosting, storage, analytics, and support systems. Providers receive information only for the services they perform and are subject to their own contractual and legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may describe advertising attribution or analytics disclosures as sharing. You can use the platform and privacy choices described below.
Retention and Deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the requested service, keep purchase and report access working, protect AloeThere, resolve support requests, meet legal and financial obligations, and maintain appropriate business records. Retention periods vary by the type of information and why it was collected.
You can remove local saved results from the app's History. Removing the app or local history does not automatically delete records already sent to AloeThere or its providers. You can request access, correction, or deletion through the support form or the Delete My Data page. Some purchase, tax, security, fraud prevention, or legal records may need to be retained or de-identified instead of deleted.
Your Choices
You can decline optional location, notification, photo-library, camera, or iOS tracking permissions in your device settings. Some related features will be unavailable without the permission, but core access is not conditioned on advertising tracking.
You can also request privacy help, unsubscribe from marketing messages, or ask questions by contacting support. Browser cookie and advertising controls may apply when you use the AloeThere website.
Security
We use access controls, limited admin tools, secure cookies, upload validation, and provider-side payment handling to reduce risk. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure, but we work to keep customer data protected.
Children
AloeThere services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact support if you believe a child has provided personal information.
